Join us on September 17 at 5pm at the Maison des Sciences de l'Homme - Paris Nord for the opening of the In the Banlieues: Oakland/Saint-Denis!
After an exhibition at the Pavillon de l'Arsenal in Paris and at SPUR and Oakstop in the San Francisco Bay Area, Oakland/Saint-Denis is invited to the Maison des Sciences de l'Homme Paris Nord.
Through the artists' perspectives and an analysis of hip-hop, this new installment puts into perspective the differences and similarities between Oakland, California and Saint-Denis. Characterized by a strong cultural, social and urban history, the two cities present two different approaches on diversity and minority issues.
The opening is happening in the context of the "Journées Européenne du Patrimoine", find the complete schedule here: https://www.mshparisnord.fr/event/journees-europeennes-du-patrimoine-a-la-msh-paris-nord-2022/ .
